Wherever you’re at, I’m here to help you focus on your unique musical goals be they playing rock or jazz, learning lead or rhythm guitar, getting to to grips with music theory, writing songs or playing in a band.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years now. In that time I’ve taught a wide range of music to hundreds of students.

Whatever your age or experence I can help you improve and get more from your music.

Beginner

Just starting out?

I can set you on track! After a course of lessons with me you’ll be self sufficient and enjoy playing your favourite music.

Intermediate

Playing for a while but stuck in a rut?

I can motivate you and organize your practice as well as introducing you to a wealth of exciting new material.

Advanced

Want to push your playing to next level?

I can assess your strengths & weaknesses, help you tackle challenging material & focus on essential techniques & concepts.

What to bring to a lesson:

  • A guitar and lead
  • Strings, picks, leads, PSUs etc
  • Music you want to learn - on CD or books
  • Any FX you want to use

A typical one hour lesson:

  • Tune guitar
  • Warmup - some basic drills
  • Review your progress - make corrections
  • Explore new material - learning a song or solo
  • Homework - what to practice for next week

Biography

Graduating from the cutting edge Manchester Jazz course at MCC under the tutelage of piano genius Dennis Friedman and double-bass maestro Stuart Riley, Nat spent ten years exploring the vibrant Northern music scene before deciding to take the plunge and embrace the Big Smoke.

With over twenty years experience as a pro musician, teacher and lecturer, in a wide variety of musical styles, Nat is perfectly equipped to communicate the vital knowledge about playing music which can enable a beginner to quickly gain skill and confidence and allow more experienced players to escape from a rut and keep breaking new ground in their playing.
